The ROG Astral OC is the first ROG quad-fan graphics card, which is coupled with a patented vapor chamber, increased heat sink fin density, and a phase-change GPU thermal pad for optimal cooling.

Based on the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, this GPU features 32GB of GDDR7 VRAM and a 512-bit memory interface, offering improved performance over the previous Ada Lovelace-based generation. The front panel of the card features DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 outputs. The RTX 5090 is not just about high-resolution gaming. Computationally intensive programs can utilize the GPU's 21,760 cores to accelerate tasks using CUDA and other APIs.

Quad-Fan Force

The ROG Astral features a revolutionary four-fan design, which creates a powerful vertical airflow channel that boosts air pressure by up to 20%. This results in optimal thermal performance that dramatically lowers GPU temperatures and minimizes hotspots, enabling high clock speeds. The addition of a fourth fan means more densely packed heat sink fans for increased cooling potential.

A patented vapor chamber designed with milled pathways allows heatpipes to sink in without flattening, boosting heat dissipation efficiency. The MaxContact design effectively increases the surface area of the GPU heat spreader by 5% for improved thermal efficiency. By melting to effectively fill the gaps between the GPU and the thermal module, a premium phase-change GPU thermal pad provides optimal thermal conductivity and enhanced heat dissipation, ensuring optimal performance and longevity for graphics cards under heavy loads.

FanConnect II

There are two PWM FanConnect headers that provide additional DIY flexibility.
