The APS Novastar L-60 is a factory-refurbished pick and place machine upgraded in 2020 with a Renishaw Linear Magnetic encoder system, higher-quality flex tray cables, and updated internal circuit boards. It places 0402s, BGAs, QFPs, and fine-pitch components down to 15 mil with ±0.025 mm accuracy at a practical rate of 1,700 CPH.
This system handles board lengths from 3 to 30 inches and widths up to 13 inches, supported by 96 feeder slots, an automatic 4-position nozzle changer, and Windows XP-based APS SMT software. The package includes 15 8mm feeders, 4 nozzles, a 12-lane 8mm feeder, a vibratory feeder, a squaring station, a loose tape feeder, PCB and tray clamps, documentation, and a PC with monitor and peripherals.
