The Sony BURANO 8K Digital Motion Picture Camera Kit is a full-frame cine camera built around an 8.6K CMOS sensor that delivers 16 stops of dynamic range and dual-base 800/3200 ISO for low-light HDR capture. It records internally in XAVC H, X-OCN LT, XAVC-I, and XAVC-L, covering resolutions from HD up to 8.6K and frame rates including full-frame 8.6K at 30 fps and Super35 cropped 4K at 120 fps.

The camera accepts both ARRI PL and Sony E-mount lenses, with in-camera stabilization for each, and its autofocus system includes Fast Hybrid AF and Human Eye AF for single-operator work. A built-in electronically variable ND filter spans 0.6 to 2.1 ND across seven stops, while the detachable viewfinder and touchscreen LCD provide quick access to FPS, EI, shutter, ND, look, and white balance controls.
