  • Integrated HD Camera & 3-Axis Gimbal: The Vision+'s most defining feature was its integrated 14-megapixel camera,
    stabilized by a 3-axis mechanical gimbal. This gimbal technology was revolutionary at the time, providing incredibly smooth and stable video footage—a major upgrade from the shaky, amateur video typical of earlier drones.

  • First-Person View (FPV) Live Streaming: Pilots could view a live video feed from the drone's camera directly on their smartphone (placed in the transmitter's mount) through a dedicated Wi-Fi connection. This "pilot's eye view" was a primary selling point for immersive flight and framing shots.

  • Ready to Fly (RTF): The Phantom 2 Vision+ came completely assembled out of the box. Users only needed to attach the propellers, charge the batteries, and they were ready to fly, greatly simplifying the process for beginners.

  • GPS-Assisted Flight: Equipped with advanced GPS and compass systems, it featured intelligent flight modes such as:

    • Position Hold: The drone could automatically hover steadily in place.

    • Return-to-Home (RTH): With the flick of a switch or in a low-power scenario, the drone would automatically fly back to and land at its takeoff point.

  • Design & Build: It featured the iconic white, minimalist, and lightweight plastic shell common to the Phantom series. Its design was both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
