The Nikon Z Cinema series represents the first tangible product of Nikon's acquisition of RED, merging Nikon's hardware with RED's renowned color science and codec technology. The newly announced model, the Nikon ZR, is designed as an ultra-lightweight, compact cinema camera for filmmakers and high-end content creators

• RED Codec and Color Science: The inclusion of the R3D NE codec is the core of the Nikon-RED synergy. This means you can record high-quality RAW video internally and seamlessly match colors with footage from high-end RED cameras like the V-RAPTOR [X] or KOMODO-X in post-production.

• Revolutionary Audio Capability: The 32-bit float audio recording is a significant innovation. It captures an enormous dynamic range, effectively eliminating audio clipping. This means you no longer need to set gain levels during recording, as the levels can be adjusted perfectly in post-production without distortion, which is ideal for unpredictable shooting environments.

• Compact Cinema-Focused Design: The ZR features a "brick-shaped" body similar to the Sony FX3, prioritizing video functionality over traditional stills camera design.
