Performance Upgrade: iFlight Crystal Patch Antenna

This setup is enhanced by replacing one of the stock omnidirectional antennas with a high-gain directional antenna:

  • Optimized Signal Focus: The patch antenna concentrates its receiving power in a specific, forward-facing direction, much like a spotlight. This results in a stronger, clearer, and more stable video signal when flying at long range or when the drone is positioned in front of the pilot.

  • Increased Range & Penetration: The higher gain and focused signal can significantly extend the reliable range of your video link and improve its ability to penetrate light obstacles like trees.

  • Reduced Interference: The directional nature makes it less susceptible to signal reflections and multipath interference, which can cause video flickering.
